Traders in Akwa Ibom State has extended congratulations to Governor Umo Eno on his recent recognition as Governor of the Year by the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.
In a goodwill message signed by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Matters, Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael, described the honour as a “well-deserved recognition” of the Governor’s transformative impact on grassroots development.
The SSA highlights the Governor’s efforts in improving the welfare of traders and boosting local commerce, adding that, under the current administration, the state has witnessed “a new dawn” and inclusive approach to economic growth.
Raphael said the entire traders were proud to celebrate the Governor’s national honour, and prayed for more wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for him as he continues to steer the affairs of the state.
“This award is not just a commendation of your sterling leadership, but a national affirmation of the vision you have brought to governance,” the message read.
The Nigerian Governors’ Forum presented the Governor of the Year award to Eno in recognition of his administration’s strides in governance, transparency, and development.
